The Gingerbread Man is one of many traditional fairy tales. It tells the story of how a Gingerbread Man jumps out of the oven and escapes down the lane. He meets many characters on the way and they all want him to stop so that they can eat him. As the Gingerbread Man makes his way he calls “Run run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me. I’m the Gingerbread man.” When he reaches a river he is afraid as he can’t swim and the characters are catching up with him. he takes the offer of a swim on a fox’s back and SNAP! That is the end of the Gingerbread Man.
